The Neverwinter Nights: Resurrection Hordes of the Underdark version requires all of the following hakpaks:
NWC Hak 1
NWC Hak 2
NWC Hak 3
NWC Hak 4
NWC Hak 5
NWC Hak 6
NWC Hak 7
NWC Hak 8
NWC Hak 9 Updated on October 9, 2007!
These files are Zip archives. Extract the contents of these archives into your NeverwinterNights/NWN/hak folder. The file names of updated hakpaks are generally the same as the names of the existing hakpaks, and will therefore overwrite the existing haks. This is a good thing, allow it to happen
After you have extracted all of the archived files into your NeverwinterNights/NWN/hak folder, open that folder and find the file named custom2.tlk. This file needs to be moved to the NeverwinterNights/NWN/tlk folder to be properly utilized by the game, so either Cut or Copy it and Paste it into the NeverwinterNights/NWN/tlk folder. If you don't have a tlk folder in your NeverwinterNights/NWN directory, you can easily create it by navigating to the NeverwinterNights/NWN directory on your computer. If you are using Windows, open My Computer and find the NeverwinterNights/NWN folder on your hard drive. Open it, then go to the File menu selection, click New, and then click Folder from the dropdown menu. A folder called New Folder will be created. Right-click on the new folder and select Rename, and name the folder tlk. You can then move the custom2.tlk file into this folder.
If you would rather download all of the hakpaks as a single Zip archive, Click Here. Install these in your NeverwinterNights/NWN/hak directory, then relocate custom2.tlk as described above. This archive contains all of the hakpak updates released through June 14, 2007. It does not contain the Elvish voiceset or the Orc heads, which must be downloaded separately and installed in your NeverwinterNights/NWN/override directory (see below).
NEW!!! October 9, 2007 -- The Master 2da and NWC Hak 9 hakpaks were updated on October 9, 2007! Click here to download the revised Master 2da hakpak. Use the NWC Hak 9 link above to download the updated Hak 9 hakpak. If you downloaded the hakpaks prior to June 14, 2007, please download this archive and overwrite your existing versions of this hakpak file with the new version.
Orc head override file! -- Orc heads for half-orc PCs are now available. Click here to download the orcheads.zip file. The contents of the Zip archive need to be extracted into your NeverwinterNights/NWN/override file to work properly. If properly installed, they will appear as new choices during character creation. This file is NOT included in the hakpak downloads. It must be downloaded separately. If you do not have this file in your override folder, characters that have used the orc head will appear headless to you!
IMPORTANT!!! -- Please make sure you download and install the Elvish voiceset! This release contains a voiceset for Elf males, with all 49 required PC voice files in spoken Elvish! The latest version of the custom2.tlk file, which is packaged with the voiceset, provides Elvish text strings to accompany the spoken phrases. To use the voiceset, unzip the archived files into your NeverwinterNights/NWN/override folder. Once you have extracted all of the files, Cut the custom2.tlk file and Paste it into the NeverwinterNights/NWN/tlk folder. This step must be done for the text strings to be properly displayed. If you have already downloaded the most recent version of the custom2.tlk file, which was updated on November 8, 2005, you do not need to replace it with the file in this archive. The voiceset will available to you during character creation as Elf, Brooding Male. Note that the use of the voiceset requires that you create a new character. It does not replace any existing voiceset and is thus not available to characters that have already been created. This is not a hakpak and will not work properly if you put the files in your hak folder, they must be placed in the override folder to work. You will not properly see or hear the Elvish voiceset when others use it if you do not have it installed in your NeverwinterNights/NWN/override directory.
